Espagna por favor!

After showing a lot of fighting spirit our national ladies aka MissB ended at the 5th position, (maybe 3th place was ours because we've beaten the spanish girls and they finished 3th instead of us, stranngeeee but we can deal with that) exactly the same place as where the open team ended up. 11 women, somethimes 10 because I wasn't in full force (Nele M., Ester, Ella, Jane, Nathalie, Sofie, Charlotte, Lien, Lies, Maren and myself), resisted the heat (35°C without any shadow!) and the hungry (don't let me start about that topic..) and managed to take victory over Spain the first day (who won the spirit) after a very intens, thriller game where the support pushed us to the max and to play real smooth..! We came back from 11-5 and ended with the deserved victory (14-13). Never thought a swimmingpool would be that nice after such a heavy, hot and sweating day!
Another victory was easily completed against the UK girls (not the national team but a mixed up dream team) ending at 17-3.
The battle of the lowlands ended in favour of the dutch girls but MissB showed to be a very worthy opponent but couldn't stand it till the end. (endscore 15-12).
The french women (who in the end won the tournament) were simply a bit too strong and organised for us at the first game of the first day 17-8.
At sundaymorning 8 a..m., yeah you read it right, 8 a.m. but uhum 'luckly' there was no party at all so we went to sleep early (or some smart ones of us did) so we started the sunny sunday with only 10 girls (I didn't play that game because of my stupid necktroubles) against 18 tornados from Ireland. We have to say it: Ireland was too strong and with too many but damn we played very well and may be proud of what we've done! (12-10)
Some of us had to leave early on mondaymorning, a plane doesn't wait these days, and some of us shopped a little bit, eated finally a real meal after 4 days of crappy things, enjoyed sangria or ice cream. Yipyip as always: MissB was there, had fun, they saw us and especially they heared us so.. lets go toooooooo LONDEN and kick some asses all over the world, alright!

Windmill-A'dam-report

Our gorgeous team: Annemie, Ella, Ester, Heleen, Lien, Lies, Liesl, Nele Deroo, Nele M, Nathalie, Patti, Joe, Olivia, Femke, Jane and Wen + Anouk S and Ine who coached them to a higher level with the result: 9th place. Maybe some of them are a little bit sad about the result or about the pain in their muscles after a hard 3-days tournament, but yesyesyes they won the spirit of the game and have a funny, sunny A'damned weekend, nice ladies good work!

Next trip: Girona, la Espanole, watch out MissB is coming and I'll be back on track, 3x hooray!

Miss CLARA !

While we wait for a report on Tom's Tourney.. joyful news!

A new, maybe MissB, star is born. Her name is Clara and saw the light on Monday morning 18 May 2009 at 2 am. The proud parents Peter and Claida are doing fine with their small capon.
Congratulations of the entire MissB-team and we all wait eagerly for her to catch the first glimpse!

The Time has come to

I'm pretty sure that some of us are still recovering from a weekend full of hard ultimate but we just can't get enough sooo ..
Ladies, it's time to grab your buddy, your playbook, your shoes, your energy(drinks), your lovely pink and olive green shirts, your enthusiasm, your... because Tom's Tourney is coming our way! Last year MissB was the Spirit of the Game-Queen, maybe this year again? We will see in a few weeks..
What is certain? It's gonna be hard and heavy if we have a look at our opponents:

Our MissB Traveling Team is born!

Well, it wasn't easy to make our selections for the MissB Traveling Team. There were over 40 talented ladies to choose from, unfortunately for just 19 spots on The Traveling Team.

So here is the list of players who were selected for the MissB Traveling Team:

This is also important: We really hope that those who were not selected will continue coming to the practices and still love MissB. Remember that the future of women's ultimate in Belgium depends on all of us. If we want to make Belgium a powerhouse in women's ultimate, we must all keep playing, all keep getting better and just all have fun in playing ultimate, Yes We Can!

FINALLY!!

Yes yes we're getting started on the world wide web! From now on instead of searching for that one email with all the information about tournaments, trainingdates, pictures of our lovely faces,.. you can read all the last new MissB-updates just right here, isn't that amazing!?


So for now, the dates for the try-outs/selections are:

Part 2: Sunday, March 1 13:00-17:00 Gent
